Hello, I’m Kate Frost, a self-taught, abstract artist working primarily in acrylic, though experimentation is an essential part of my practice.
Creativity has always played an integral part of my career in marketing, graphic design and interior design. Painting is where all of those disciplines converge, a place where intuition leads and structure dissolves.

A grounding practice
The act of painting helps me find balance and stillness amid overwhelming disarray. The creative process is both grounding and healing, allowing me to explore emotion, reduce anxiety, build self-esteem and work through internal conflict.
Layered and intuitive
My paintings evolve through layers upon layers, intertwining colour, shape and texture to form an intense visual dialogue. Each piece develops organically, shaped by both instinct and exploration, rooted equally in imperfection and joy.
Crafted with intention

Beyond the canvas, I design and build handcrafted wooden frames, creating a complete and cohesive presentation that honours each piece. Every detail is considered, allowing the work to exist as a finished whole.
